Villa Cini: The History
Villa Cini is a historic residence located in Bucine, in the heart of Chianti, in the province of Arezzo. The area has been known since pre-Roman times, as it is crossed by the famous Via Cassia. The mansion was built in the second half of the 18th century, on the ashes of a pre-existing medieval building purchased by Jacopo Cini. Of bourgeois origin, Jacopo belonged to a family that had amassed great wealth during the 18th century.
After a thorough renovation of the original estate, the main house was transformed into the villa we still see today. However, in the early 19th century, the Cini family experienced a sudden economic collapse. After decades of enriching themselves through real estate speculations, the family began accumulating debts. The Cini family was thus forced to sell a significant portion of their real estate, including Villa Cini.
The complex then changed hands several times over the following decades. Finally acquired by Mrs. Claudia, Villa Cini was transformed into a splendid agriturismo. Open for events and weddings, the complex can also be rented every week.
Villa Cini: The Perfect Setting for a Princely Wedding
The splendid Villa Cini is a medieval-style structure among the most beautiful and well-preserved in Tuscany. Overlooking the enchanting hills of Chianti, the mansion is now an exclusive and dreamy wedding venue. For this reason, it is chosen for the organization of princely weddings, capable of providing great emotions to all participants.
Lucky couples celebrating their weddings at Villa Cini can choose from numerous solutions for their special day. The complex offers both its bucolic park and the historic halls of the main building. The former, characterized by a breathtaking view of the valley, is the perfect stage for fairy-tale and visually stunning summer events.
Embraced by ancient walls and tall centuries-old trees, you can enjoy a trendy and romantic reception that will leave your guests speechless. From shabby chic to industrial style, this area can be set up according to the couple's requests. Villa Cini's spacious pool area can host sparkling and glamorous aperitifs, suitable for younger and carefree couples.
For traditional lovers seeking a more solemn and sophisticated setting, the complex also offers numerous halls on the noble floor. Furnished in typical Tuscan style, these host classic and refined receptions, making them the perfect choice for couples who have always dreamed of a bonton event.
As you may have gathered, Villa Cini is truly a unique structure where past and present gracefully merge, providing couples with an unforgettable experience. If you are looking for a location full of history and magic, we are sure you will not be disappointed.
Villa Cini: The Structure of the Venue
Villa Cini is one of the best-preserved examples of a Tuscan-style estate. Immersed in a vast park of over 4 hectares, populated by centuries-old trees and flowering bushes, the residence directly overlooks the Chianti Hills. Preceded by a long tree-lined avenue, the complex consists of a main building with a turret, an ancient farmhouse, and a consecrated chapel. The latter, with a secluded and typically medieval appearance, still hosts religious weddings celebrated at Villa Cini.
The buildings of the venue are immersed in a magnificent Italian garden, featuring flower beds, fountains, statues, and a modern pool. This meticulously maintained area is available for the organization of your summer events and can accommodate approximately 120 people.
Entering the main palace through a sumptuous stone staircase, you are then transported to past eras. The interior spaces are indeed luxurious, colorful, and furnished with precious period furniture. The rooms feature exposed beam ceilings and, with their 600 square meters, can accommodate even the largest weddings.
A short distance from the main building of Villa Cini are two smaller estates, Villa Casanova and Palazzo Vanneschi. Both restored and converted into agriturismos, they host several rooms and apartments for overnight stays. The available rooms show a perfect mix of late medieval and modern elements and can accommodate up to 50 guests.
