Villa Ca' Amata: the history

Villa Ca' Amata is a historic residence built in the 18th century in Castelfranco Veneto, in the province of Treviso. The complex was built based on the design of Giovanni Rizzetti, an Enlightenment scholar and member of the Riccati Academy. Passionate about mathematics, Rizzetti wanted to design a structure whose measurements respected the so-called law of proportional harmonic mean.

Villa Ca' Amata began as a country residence, used as an administrative headquarters for the management of the adjoining cultivated lands. However, Rizzetti wanted to transform the building into a kind of "high school," where he could welcome other scholars and foster the exchange of knowledge. For this reason, during the eighteenth century, a series of internal works were initiated in the complex, aimed at modifying some of the rooms. Thus the floor above was demolished to obtain a single, larger room with overlapping openings on two levels.

On the other hand, in the 19th century Francesco Rizzetti, son of Giovanni, completed the external construction works on the structure. Also in this period, Villa Ca' Amata was embellished with a cycle of fine frescoes depicting Urania, muse of astronomy. Later, the mansion was purchased by the Zorzi family, noblemen of Venetian origin.

Finally, in 1993, Villa Ca' Amata passed to the Favero family, which began the recovery and restoration of the structure. Thanks to their unceasing work, the disgraced complex returned to its former glory. The surrounding grounds, after being reclaimed, were instead transformed into a renowned Golf Club. Open for events and weddings, Villa Ca' Amata is now one of the most exclusive locations in the Treviso countryside

Villa Ca' Amata: the perfect setting for a harmonious and elegant wedding

Villa Ca' Amata, with its refined symmetry, is a harmonious location suitable for elegant weddings. Surrounded gently by the vineyards of Treviso, the structure enjoys breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Here art, history and nature blend gracefully, bringing peace and relaxation to your events. For this reason, it is the perfect setting for exclusive and tasteful weddings.

What is most striking about this splendid structure is definitely the large garden that embraces it, embellished with a romantic rose garden. Surrounded by centuries-old trees and plants, the Villa holds bucolic views inside, which will make your summer receptions dreamy and fairytale-like. You can, moreover, freely set up the outdoor spaces, creating the atmosphere most to your liking. From country chic to the simplest and most traditional event, all you need to do is agree on the details with the complex's staff to see your dream come true.

If you prefer to celebrate your reception indoors, Villa Ca' Amata offers newlyweds the wonderful Music Room and the more rustic barchessa. The former, directly overlooking the garden, will be perfect for solemn and bon ton banquets. Also here, you can hold your civil ceremony, exchanging your vows under the frescoed vaults.

On the other hand, the barchessa is an environment with an ancient and traditional flavor. Characterized by the typical rustic style of country properties, it will be perfect for hosting events under the banner of conviviality and lightheartedness. Finally, Villa Ca' Amata has a lovely consecrated chapel, where you can celebrate your religious rite.

Villa Ca' Amata is truly the perfect setting for an impeccable wedding, unmissable for the most demanding couples. If you love art, culture and nature, you will not be disappointed and you will forever have a very sweet memory of your wedding.

Villa Ca' Amata: the structure of the location

Villa Ca' Amata presents a rich and articulated structure, built according to the Enlightenment principles of proportional harmony. In fact, the mansion is characterized by symmetrical elements and volumes that strictly adhere to complex mathematical calculations. For this reason, Villa Ca' Amata has a central body and two identical side wings, in which the barchesse are housed.

The buildings are immersed in a lush Italian garden, which gently fades into the local vineyards. Embellished with a lush rose garden, the garden can be used for the organization of large receptions and summer events. In addition, a vast golf course, comprising as many as 18 holes, develops around Villa Ca' Amata.

Upon entering the Villa, visitors are then greeted by richly decorated rooms, with an endless succession of frescoes and heirlooms. Bride and groom can request the use of the splendid Music Room, in which to serve the banquet and celebrate their civil ceremony. Opening directly onto the garden, the hall features a scenic gallery and splendid crystal chandeliers.

Villa Ca' Amata then also makes available the hall inside the barchessa. Recently renovated, this one is characterized by the rustic style typical of Venetian villas. There is no shortage, in fact, of stone walls and wooden ceilings, which will give warmth to your event. Finally, the structure has a romantic private consecrated chapel, in which you can celebrate your religious rite.

Villa Ca' Amata is truly a magical, elegant and princely place. Planning your wedding here means living a daydream. If you are looking for an exclusive and harmonious location, we are sure it will not disappoint you.

In addition to being a wedding photographer, I am a husband (lucky!) and a dad (super lucky!).

I love happy tail wags and purring in the evening twilight, which is why we also have two beautiful furries in our family, Octavia and Nova.
I love the smell of the woods where everything is so wild, where you can reconnect deeply with nature. In the same way, I love the only means that allows you to stay firmly connected to the world around you, the motorbike.

My wife Giulia and I travelled across Europe to the North Cape, where we left a piece of our hearts.
