Villa Da Prato: the history
The beautiful Villa Da Prato is a historic mansion built in the late 15th and early 16th centuries. The structure stands in Caldiero, a small town in the province of Verona that has been famous since Roman times for its thermal baths. Villa Da Prato was presumably erected on a pre-existing building at the behest of the noble Da Prato family, formerly the Cassini.
The Cassinis, in fact, had moved from the town of Prato to Verona at the height of the Scaliger period. According to the family tree still preserved in the Villa, the founder of the family was Pacino Cassini. Upon arriving in Caldiero, the latter decided to build a splendid country residence in which to spend his vacations and administer his affairs.
For over five hundred years, Villa Da Prato was handed down from generation to generation within the family. It was only with the death in 1960 of Countess Luigia Monti, widow of Count Arturo Da Prato, that the complex changed hands. Villa Da Prato thus passed by inheritance to the Fiorini family, which still manages the structure today.
Since spring 2013, the complex has adhered to the Veneto Region's Service Charter. Open for weddings and business meetings, the mansion is now one of the best-known event venues in the Verona area.

Approaching the complex, you will be able to serve a convivial aperitif in the verdant Italian garden. Adaptable to your every wish, the latter will be perfect for hosting both traditional receptions and trendier events, in country chic or modern style.
