The location of Villa Luppis is one of the locations that I have most appreciated during my experience as a wedding photographer in Pordenone. I have collected all the most important information, to allow you to get to know the history, the structure and answer the most frequently asked questions about the location. Enjoy the reading!
Villa Luppis: the history
The ancient Villa Luppis stands in Rivarotta Pasiano, in the province of Pordenone. Built in the 14th century, the structure was actually erected on an earlier 13th-century building. It was in fact the ancient convent residence of San Martino Ripae Ruptae, owned by Camaldolese monks. These devoted themselves over the years not only to prayer, but also to the reclamation and cultivation of the surrounding land.
Because of its strategic position on the banks of the Livenza and Meduna rivers, the Villa was often contested militarily. In fact, during the war between the Venetian Republic and the Habsburgs it suffered heavy damage, so much so that it was completely rebuilt in the 16th century. During the 19th century Villa Luppis was finally secularised by Napoleon Bonaparte and purchased by the noble Chiozza-Luppis family.
In the early 20th century, the structure was completely renovated and transformed into an Art Nouveau residence by Ferruccio Luppis. The Villa thus became an elegant country residence in which to organise social events. In 1991, the family's last descendant then undertook a new series of works aimed at redeveloping the complex. Villa Luppis was thus transformed into today's 4-star hotel with a renowned restaurant and a splendid 5-hectare park.
Villa Luppis: the perfect setting for a princely wedding
As anticipated, Villa Luppis has undergone a major restoration in Art Nouveau style, becoming a refined and elegant venue. Precisely for this reason, the structure is today the perfect location for princely and unforgettable weddings.
What makes the complex so romantic is the vast centuries-old park surrounding it. It is a large area dotted with trees and heavenly spots in which to spend moments of pure relaxation. It will be the perfect setting for your bucolic outdoor receptions and sparkling aperitifs on hot summer days. Under the dancing foliage you can then organise your evocative photo shoot, creating shots with a cinematographic flavour. The extra treat? You can use the area next to the elegant swimming pool until late into the night, even organising an impressive fireworks display.
Would you instead like to celebrate an exciting and more classic civil ceremony directly on-site? In this case, the Villa staff can set up various indoor and outdoor areas for the event. The interiors of Villa Luppis indeed offer strong emotions. The large halls available are elegant, rich in detail but never tacky. They are exclusive settings in which to serve the most refined of wedding banquets. You can choose the style that best suits your needs, from rustic to bohemian, for an event that deeply reflects you.
Finally, the hotel also offers its sumptuous interior suites. Here you can step into the shoes of 19th-century nobility, ending the day in the sweetest of ways. Villa Luppis is truly an unforgettable location in which to spend unique moments with your loved ones. A fairytale location that we are sure will leave an indelible memory in the hearts of those who stay there.
