Villa Parisi: the history

The splendid Villa Parisi stands overlooking the Gulf of Cianciafera in Castiglioncello, in the province of Livorno. In fact, it is located on the cliffs of Punta Righini, one of the most evocative places on the Tuscan coast. The villa was built in 1906 by the Parisi family, wealthy local builders.

Their enterprise was responsible for the railway line connecting Vada to Livorno, revolutionising the local transport system. For this work, Commendator Saverio Parisi received the area where the residence stands as a gift from Baron Patrone. The splendid Villa Parisi was erected within a few years, where unspoilt nature had previously reigned.

In 1960, ownership of the Villa was transferred to Count Malaspina. He began the restoration of the structure, transforming it into a splendid hotel. Thus was born the luxurious 'Grand Hotel Villa Parisi', which opened its doors to numerous celebrities worldwide. In 1974, the residence also hosted the filming of the movie 'La bellissima estate' directed by Sergio Martino. Today, the property is a modern 4-star hotel where weddings and exclusive events can be celebrated.

Villa Parisi: the structure of the location

The historic Villa Parisi is a prestigious residence immersed in pine forests, in which past and present blend to perfection. In fact, the structure is characterised by the perfect combination of neoclassical lines and more modern elements. The Villa is also surrounded by a lush park, within which the different areas of the complex are located.

Going up along the paths, you reach the striking terraces overlooking the sea, the elegant pool area and the solarium. Through a secondary passage, it is then possible to descend to the small beach below. This has been equipped with great care and features a romantic platform overlooking the sea.

Inside the elegant main building, on the other hand, you can admire rooms and halls with a classic and refined taste. The atmosphere here is incomparable between stuccoes, grit floors and pastel colours. The rooms are in fact in perfect Art Nouveau style, rich in period elements and furnishings. Accessing the veranda here, one can then enjoy a breathtaking view of the gulf below and the park.

The upper floor of Villa Parisi also houses 22 rooms and suites in which you can stay overnight. Equipped with every comfort, they too have been created in perfect 20th century style.
