Villa Peggy's Tron: History

The elegant Villa Peggy's Tron is located in Cittadella, between Fontaniva and Tezze sul Brenta, in the province of Padua. It is a magnificent 17th century villa surrounded by the rolling fields of the Veneto countryside. The estate has a history similar to that of many other Venetian villas in the area. It began life as a country residence and was then transformed into a refined holiday resort during the 18th century.

In 1699 the land where Villa Peggy's Tron stands today was bought by the Remondini family, historic printers from Bassano. The Remondini family began work on the extension of a previous farmhouse on the site, which lasted about thirty years. This led to the current layout of the Villa, which included an elegant central body, the stables and the sharecroppers' dwellings. The complex, in fact, continued to be used for agricultural purposes, also hosting a famous wine cellar.

During the 19th century, the Remondini family began a slow but inexorable decline. On the Second World War threshold, Villa Peggy's Tron could no longer support itself with its agricultural production. In 1936 the property was purchased by Guido Kofler, an engineer, who decided to carry out a careful restoration of the buildings. Thanks to his tireless work, aimed at restoring the structure, Villa Peggy's Tron has today returned to its former glory.

Villa Peggy's Tron - the perfect setting for a rustic wedding

As we have already mentioned, during the 18th century Villa Peggy's Tron was transformed into an elegant and versatile complex. Having overcome the period of decadence after the First World War, the Villa is now considered the perfect location for rustic and fairytale weddings.

The atmospheric atmosphere here is difficult to experience elsewhere. Upon entering the romantic park, guests are immediately transported to a distant, idyllic era. You can organise touching civil ceremonies, banquets, and shootings in the soft setting of the centuries-old trees and the running stream. The courtyard is the ideal place for unique, cinematic shots.

You can also enjoy the shady corners under the trees or the charming alleys between the buildings on mild summer days. These are romantic areas, perfect for more rustic or shabby chic settings. The same applies to the Barchessa, where you will find the typical spaces of the old farmhouses of the Veneto countryside.

Villa Peggy's Tron also offers you its characteristic wine cellars. Like the Barchessa, these spaces have been perfectly restored and can host unforgettable moments. You will find beautiful relaxation areas, furnished with sofas, carpets and refined tables.

If you are looking for a more luxurious setting, we can only recommend the magnificent Salone della Villa. Here, art, culture and history come together perfectly. The Salone can accommodate more elegant receptions, suitable for traditional weddings. Whatever your style, Villa Peggy's Tron will provide the perfect setting to make your dream wedding come true.

Villa Peggy's Tron: the structure of the location

The historic Villa Peggy's Tron stands among the fields and vineyards of the Veneto countryside. The structure of the Villa is surrounded by a lovely garden with trees, rich in secular plants, and by a green wood. Beyond the park is the well-kept lawn, which elegantly embraces the two courtyards of the complex. There is also a dense bamboo forest and a beautiful bridge under which an artificial stream flows. In these green areas, you can celebrate bucolic summer receptions and the official civil ceremony of your wedding.

The main body of Villa Peggy's Tron, the eighteenth-century chapel and the ancient Barchessa overlook the garden. The Barchessa, after careful restoration, has been transformed into a versatile environment suitable for hosting events and celebrations. It features a large central hall, with the typical combination of stone walls, terracotta floors and wooden ceilings. On the other hand, the splendid noble building has an elegant neoclassical façade.

Villa Peggy's Tron boasts richly decorated interiors, with a large salon to suit your every need. Here you can admire splendid eighteenth-century frescoes, under which you can serve your wedding banquet. If you prefer a more unusual setting, you can also visit the historic wine cellars. Among the old wooden barrels are comfortable sofas and tables, perfect for a moment of relaxation in a charming space.

Villa Peggy's Tron is truly a place rich in history and tradition that will surprise its visitors. Thanks to its majestic views and fairy-tale atmosphere it will surely leave a sweet memory in your hearts.
