I have gathered all the most important information so you can learn more about the history, the structure and answer the most frequently asked questions about the villa. Enjoy your reading!

Villa Correr Agazzi: a centuries-old history

Villa Correr Agazzi is a refined residence built in the 16th century. It stands in Biverone di S.Stino di Livenza, a short distance from Venice. The structure was bought in the middle of the 17th century by Francesco Agazzi, a member of a noble Venetian family. He used it mainly as a support point to follow his agricultural activities in this rich area. When Francesco died in 1684, the Villa passed to his five sons, who carried out major enlargements. It was a radical structural change of the residence, which was modified following the Venetian "Casa Fondaco" style. Two floors were added to the main structure, a Barchessa and a large Italian garden. The Villa thus became an articulated architectural complex, embellished by the use of refined materials such as Istrian stone. The residence's interior was richly decorated and frescoed in the seventeenth-century style. In the course of a few decades the Villa radically changed its use. It changed from a country house into a luxurious and fashionable place to display one's wealth.

During the 18th century, Villa Correr Agazzi reached its peak of splendour and vitality. However, with the disappearance of the last descendant of the Agazzi family at the beginning of the 19th century, the mansion began its slow decline. Some parts of the structure were even demolished, including the Oratory and the Perimeter Wall. The early years of the twentieth century were no happier: the Villa became a farmhouse like other historic mansions in the area. In a short time, a rapid deterioration of the residence began, and it was despoiled of its relics. Parts of the interior and exterior frescoes were destroyed or clumsily covered over. The interior layout was altered to create flats for the numerous families that lived there. Fortunately, Villa Correr Agazzi was later purchased by the Marchetto family of Venice, who began its restoration. Today the Villa has regained its original appearance, returning to its eighteenth-century splendour thanks to a careful restoration.

Villa Correr Agazzi: the perfect setting for a refined wedding

As we have mentioned, Villa Correr Agazzi has now fortunately returned to its former glory. In the eighteenth century, the residence was known for its splendour and was considered a meeting point for local nobles. For this reason, the residence is now considered one of the most refined and luxurious places in which to celebrate your wedding. It is in fact a desirable location, perfect for celebrating a romantic and elegant wedding. Surrounded by the gentle Venetian countryside, the Villa offers truly breathtaking views and panoramas. Strolling through the centuries-old trees of its splendid park, you can take bucolic and fairy-tale photographs. This area is full of suggestive and romantic corners, available for your every need.

The structure also offers you its suggestive interior spaces, where you can serve your wedding banquet. If you prefer a simpler setting with a rustic yet refined flavour, we can only recommend the beautiful Barchessa. For lovers of luxury and opulence, however, the internal salons of the main structure will be the perfect setting for your event. Villa Correr Agazzi is truly an evocative place, able to make its guests live moments of pure magic. If you are looking for the perfect location for a traditional and luxurious wedding, you will not be disappointed.

Villa Correr Agazzi: the structure of the location

Villa Correr Agazzi is one of the most successful examples of beautiful 18th-century Venetian villas. The large structure, immersed in the green of the surrounding fields, has all the typical elements of 18th-century residences. The pride and joy of the Villa is undoubtedly its large park, rich in centuries-old trees. Here you will find romantic green paths and green areas in which to organise your summer receptions. In fact under the foliage of the poplars, the structure offers its catering and banqueting service, for an aperitif surrounded by nature. In the park, you can also organise fantastic moonlight fireworks displays.

Moving towards the main building is the beautiful Barchessa. The old farmhouse has now been completely renovated. Inside you will find rooms with a more rustic flavour, characterised by a splendid wooden ceiling and terracotta floors. A style similar to that of the romantic Portico, in which to organise both your civil ceremony and your summer banquet. When it is impossible to celebrate outdoors, the Villa also offers marvellous internal salons. These preserve the charm of the old Venetian villas, thanks to the combination of wooden ceilings and parquet floors. There are also several lounges with beautiful stucco work and period furniture. One of the most refined is certainly the Salottino della Sposa, reserved for the bride's preparation. The elegant Bridal Suite is also available for the couple. Villa Correr Agazzi is a truly unique location, where you can celebrate your most beautiful day in style, in a refined setting that suits all your needs.
