The location of Villa Rigatti is one of the locations that I have most appreciated during my experience as a wedding photographer in Udine. Villa Rigatti: the history

The ancient Villa Rigatti stands in Fiumicello, in the locality of S. Valentino, in the province of Udine. According to official cadastral documents, the structure appeared in 1825. It was built at the behest of the Peteani family, members of the Friulian aristocracy. The Peteani remained owners of Villa Rigatti for about a century, leaving it only in 1931.

Later, the structure came under the control of the Della Noce family. The latter, however, only retained ownership of the complex for a few years. However, they made some structural changes to the Villa, eliminating the left wing and replacing it with a terraced portico on the main floor. In this way, the complex assumed its typical symmetrical layout, still visible today.

Also, during this period, the exterior walls of the ground floor were decorated with the creation of a plinth. As early as 1934, however, the mansion was sold to the Rigatti family. They managed the building until 2004, handing it down from generation to generation.

In more recent times, Villa Rigatti has been completely renovated, returning to its former glory. It has been open for receptions and private events for several years, making it one of the most popular locations in the area. It is also currently for sale, for a record price of over three million euros.

Villa Rigatti: the structure of the location

The historic Villa Rigatti stands amidst the gentle fields of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Rich in history and beauty, the structure was built in the typical style of Venetian villas. It is in fact a monumental building surrounded by a centuries-old park, where paths and geometric hedges can be found.

Strolling under the foliage of the trees, one then reaches the refined Italian garden of the Villa. Here it is possible to organise summer events and refreshments, also taking advantage of the large swimming pool area and the portico overlooking it. Approaching the main buildings, it is then impossible not to admire the elegant façade of the structure. This has been expertly decorated with beautiful friezes and a small balcony. Next to the main building is an annexe surrounded by greenery.

Upon entering Villa Rigatti, it is impossible not to fall in love with the place. Spread over no less than three floors, the spacious halls and rooms are indeed breathtaking. They are elegantly designed rooms, where the past blends perfectly with more modern tastes. There is no lack of period elements, paintings and heirlooms, but every detail is fresh and refined. Each room is characterised by pastel tones, walls decorated with light wood panelling, and a refined herringbone parquet floor. There are also rooms with a more rustic flavour, with important references to the Veneto style. In fact, it is possible to admire in several rooms the classic wooden ceiling with exposed beams and the use of terracotta.

Going up to the top floor of Villa Rigatti, it is then possible to spend the night inside the complex.
